Our Story

A Twin Flame Kinda Love

Our love story is one that even Hollywood wouldn’t dare write—too wild, too whimsical, too perfectly us. It all began with a fateful swipe on Bumble. Diana, exhausted by the whirlwind that is the New York dating scene, decided to create a profile while on a work trip to sunny South Florida, staying at her parents’ house in Palm Beach Gardens. Naturally, her beauty and charm attracted a swarm of suitors, but one profile stood out—a bio so unusual it captured her journalistic curiosity.

That was me. A dating app rookie who, in a bold (and mildly reckless) move, listed my full name on my profile. This little detail piqued Diana’s interest. At first, she pegged me as a "Brooklyn-style" coffee hipster—her words, not mine. But when she realized I actually owned a coffee company, her interest perked up. Maybe I could be her new free caffeine supplier, she thought.

When we matched, sparks flew faster than an espresso shot. We hit it off instantly, and after just a couple of days of texting, I mustered up the courage to ask her out. She said yes. Our first date was at Grato in downtown West Palm Beach on a gorgeous November evening. The moment I saw her in person, I was smitten. The date went so well that Diana agreed to see me the very next night. In fact, we ended up seeing each three out of the next four days before she had to fly back to New York—a bittersweet twist to our whirlwind romance.

In those magical few days, we discovered something extraordinary: we share the same birthday—August 30, 1989. Of course, I’ll never let her forget that I’m a few hours older, which I like to spin as “older and wiser.” She rolls her eyes at that every time.

When she returned to New York, I knew I couldn’t let this connection slip away. So, I did something old-fashioned: I called her every single night. At first, she found my persistence a bit puzzling—“Who calls these days?!”—but soon, it became our nightly tradition. These calls deepened our bond and kept the spark alive across the miles. Long-distance could only hold us for so long, though, so I booked a trip to New York to see her.

Our reunion in the city was magical. We kicked it off with a Drunken Shakespeare show (nothing like Shakespeare with a side of cocktails) and spent the rest of the weekend exploring the city’s festive holiday magic. From strolling under twinkling lights to seeing the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, every moment felt like a scene from a rom-com—except it was real.

By the time I flew back to West Palm Beach, one thing was crystal clear: Diana was the love of my life. We continued making trips back and forth, but by April 2024, Diana decided to take the plunge and move to West Palm Beach full-time. My heart was overflowing—she was my partner, my twin flame, my everything.

Fast forward to May, when we embarked on a family trip to Corsica, France. I had already made up my mind: Corsica would be the perfect place to propose. With my late grandmother Elizabeth’s ring safely tucked away, I planned a romantic beach walk in the idyllic town of Algajola. The plan? A stroll along the beach with a chilled bottle of rosé, ending at a charming seaside restaurant where my parents, aunt, and uncle waited to witness the big moment.

As we walked, my heart raced faster than the waves crashing beside us. Battling sand flies and polishing off the rosé, we finally reached the end of the cove. I dropped to one knee, nerves and excitement swirling, and asked Diana to marry me. She said yes—emphatically, joyfully, beautifully. It was a moment I’ll treasure forever.

Now, here we are, ready to celebrate our love with all our amazing family and friends. We couldn’t be more excited to unite our two families and kick off this next chapter with a night filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
